Flex Setup for Samsung Tizen (6.5+)

Starting in 2024, Mvix CMS is now compatible with Samsung Tizen (6.5+) TVs for use with Mvix Flex.

To begin, please refer to the following steps:

Before you begin - Mvix Flex requirements

Install the Mvix Flex Digital Signage App for Samsung

  • Connect and power on your Samsung display to begin
  • Using your display remote, navigate the following menus to install the Mvix Flex app:
    • Menu
    • System
    • Play via
    • Select Custom App (URL Launcher on older Tizen)
  • Next, you’ll want to add the Mvix Flex app URL to the Custom App field provided by a Client Success Associate. If you do not have this URL, please refer to the Samsung Installation email or the bottom of this document on how to reach out to us.
    • Click the “Home” button on your Samsung remote
    • Navigate to “App management”
    • In “Install Custom App” enter the Mvix Flex app URL
    • Select OK
  • Once you have installed the custom app, you will need to reboot your device
  • If the app does not start automatically, select your “Home” button, and select "MvixPlayer"

Activate your device

  • The Mvix Flex app will load, then you will be presented with the activation screen:
  • Reply to the Mvix Client Success team with your Activation Code as supplied on screen to activate your license.
  • The Mvix Client Success team will review your activation details and set up your CMS account (as needed) along with your license registration.
    • This process is usually completed within 1 business day.
  • Once the license is activated, the app will update and begin playing Mvix sample content.
