Flex Setup for Samsung Tizen (6.5+)
Starting in 2024, Mvix CMS is now compatible with Samsung Tizen (6.5+) TVs for use with Mvix Flex.
To begin, please refer to the following steps:
Before you begin - Mvix Flex requirements
- Purchase a supported Samsung digital signage display
- Manufacturer site - https://www.samsung.com/us/business/displays/
- Minimum OS requirements:
- Tizen OS 6.5 or newer
- Samsung display remote for on-screen menu navigation
- Wired ethernet network connection (highly recommended) or available wifi network
- Purchase an Mvix Flex software license (contact your Mvix Solutions Consultant for more information)
Install the Mvix Flex Digital Signage App for Samsung
- Connect and power on your Samsung display to begin
- Using your display remote, navigate the following menus to install the Mvix Flex app:
- Menu
- System
- Play via
- Select Custom App (URL Launcher on older Tizen)

- Next, you’ll want to add the Mvix Flex app URL to the Custom App field provided by a Client Success Associate. If you do not have this URL, please refer to the Samsung Installation email or the bottom of this document on how to reach out to us.
- Click the “Home” button on your Samsung remote
- Navigate to “App management”
- In “Install Custom App” enter the Mvix Flex app URL
- Select OK

- Once you have installed the custom app, you will need to reboot your device
- If the app does not start automatically, select your “Home” button, and select "MvixPlayer"

Activate your device
- The Mvix Flex app will load, then you will be presented with the activation screen:

- Reply to the Mvix Client Success team with your Activation Code as supplied on screen to activate your license.
- The Mvix Client Success team will review your activation details and set up your CMS account (as needed) along with your license registration.
- This process is usually completed within 1 business day.
- Once the license is activated, the app will update and begin playing Mvix sample content.
Schedule Your Content
- Your app setup is now complete, and you can access the Mvix CMS at cms.mvix.com using your account login credentials.
- Moving forward, you will use the Mvix CMS to schedule and manage your devices and their playback content.
