How To Set Up Directional / Wayfinding Arrows

Navigating large facilities can be overwhelming—especially for first-time visitors or during busy hours.

Our Wayfinding Arrows app is designed to simplify on-site navigation by displaying clear, dynamic directional cues on your digital signage screens.

Whether guiding guests to meeting rooms, departments, or event spaces, these visual prompts help reduce confusion and improve the visitor experience.

What You’ll Need:

• An Active Mvix CMS Account
• Internet Connectivity
• Pro Feature Package

Getting Started

• From the "Add Media" module, go the (1) "Local" category and (2) select the "Wayfinding" App.
• First, you'll need to (3) select a theme that best fits the aesthetic you're going for. If you'd like to zoom into a theme, simply hover over one and wait for a few seconds and the CMS will show a larger cutout.
• Next, you'll need to (4) choose a data source. We have three options:
  
  • Add/Edit Items - This is the default and recommended data source. You will just need to manually add an entry name & arrow direction.
  • Import File - Use a CSV, JSON, or XML file that the data will pull from.
  • Web Feed - Use a public URL that automatically updates and the file changes
• If you'd like to (5) adjust the branding, you'll be able to change the Text Font, Color, and two background colors from this module.
• Also, you can set the Animation Duration or Refresh Rate in the (6) Advanced Settings section.
• Once the setup is completed, (7) click "Preview" to ensure the setup matches your design choices.
• Lastly, be sure to (8) name your media file something easy to reference then (9) click "Save Media" to add it to your library.
