What are FIDS?
FIDS stands for Flight Informational Displays. These are the boards you see at airports that notify passengers and visitors of important flight information such as departure/arrival times, gate locations, delays, baggage claim location, and much more.
Where are FIDS most used?
FIDS are primarily used in two locations; hotels & airports.
Hotels, especially those near airports, help keep guests informed of any important flight information at the nearby airport. Airports are the primary user of FIDS as they can utilize all aspects of the solution including gate/terminal locations, baggage areas for incoming flights, incoming/departure times, & emergency alerts.
